Terms of Service
These Terms of Service are effective as of February 1, 2017. We expressly reserve the right to change these Terms of Service from time to time without notice to you. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this site and these Terms of Service from time to time and to familiarize yourself with any modifications. Your continued use of this site after such modifications will constitute acknowledgement of the modified Terms of Service and agreement to abide and be bound by the modified Terms of Service.
Shalom Transcription guarantees a 98% accuracy rate for only “good quality” audio with up to two persons/voices in the recording. Should Client feel that any work performed does not meet this accuracy rate, client should contact us at email@example.com NO LATER than 7 days of receipt of transcript(s). Client accepts and understands that no transcript is ever "perfect." Should Client feel that the accuracy rate is below 98%, and the audio is “good quality", Shalom Transcription will correct the errors and return transcript as soon as possible. There will be no corrections or refunds made on orders with audio files uploaded to us as difficult quality audio.
Although we do strive for 98% accuracy or better for audio that is considered "good", Client agrees to release and hold harmless Shalom Transcription, of any damages that might occur from the quotation, publication, distribution or public use of a quotation from the transcript that may contain a typographical or factual error. Client agrees that it is their responsibility to confirm the accuracy of a transcript prior to information from a transcript being published or printed and will not list or imply Shalom Transcription, or any employees as defendant in any litigations.
The turnaround time starts only after the completion of the payment. The turnaround will not include the day the payment is made.
For example, for a turnaround of 3 business days, if the payment is made on Monday, the delivery will be on or before the end of Thursday EST. If the payment is made on Thursday, the delivery will be on or before the end of Tuesday EST.
Business days will not include Saturdays, Sundays and Federal Holidays.
❶ The refund policy is valid for 7 days from the date of transcript delivery.
❷ If there is quality issue, we offer free re-review as a first option. If the re-review transcript does not meet the accuracy we will issue refund.
❸ Refund policy is valid only for audio or video files that are good quality with up to two persons/voices.
❹ If the order is returned with quality issue after the 7 day validity period, we will charge 30% for proofreading and 50% for rework from the order cost.
❺ Refund policy is not applicable for rush orders, difficult quality audios and foreign language transcription/translation.
❻ If there is accuracy issue in foreign language transcription/translation, clients need to contact us within 5 days from the date of delivery for re-review.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or other’s rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
